Auf Dailystar ist ein neuer Artikel über McFly erschienen. Es geht darum, das die Band ihre Musikrichtung geändert hat.
McFLY admit they dumped pop for R&B to follow in the footsteps of Prince.
McFly’s Tom Fletcher told me: “We realised all the songs we’d been writing early on could have gone on the last album and that we weren’t doing anything new.
“It made us decide to challenge ourselves to do something completely different. We wanted a drastic step in the other direction.
“A couple of the songs in that early bunch that stood out for us had a Prince and Jacko influence and that’s what we wanted to aim to be like – the great pop acts.”
Tom, 25, and bandmates Danny Jones, 24, Dougie Poynter, 22, and Harry Judd, 24, decided to rope in uber-hot US producer Dallas Austin, who has worked with both Jacko and Madonna.
Danny revealed: “Dallas took us to clubs when we were meant to be working in the studio. We were out with him one night and he said, ‘I need a phone’, and then sung into it.
“He played it back the next day and it was so amazing it turned into our first single Party Girl.”
After re-gaining control of their career by re-signing to their record label Universal in a much-improved deal which shares their profits 50/50, they’re on the way to becoming multi-millionaires.

NOT since Kylie went grunge has the music scene been shaken by such a dramatic change in direction.
But fans and haters of McFly prepare to be shocked.
Their cheesy pop has gone and heavy synths and sexy beats now dominate the four tracks played at an exclusive listening session in a swanky London hotel.
The lads teamed up with Madonna and Britney producer Dallas Austin for their first single Party Girl, released September 4.
The result is an immense dancefloor-filler laden with Lady GaGa Bad Romance-esque “Ooh-oohs”.
Taio Cruz has also worked his knob-twiddling magic on two tracks for their untitled fifth studio album.
Second single Shine A Light shows their sensitive side, singing over club beats: “She left me with a broken heart. She took the light and left me in the dark.”
While Nowhere Left To Run has scintillating synths layered over sharp beats.
ALL-night tequila benders, visits to strip clubs and boozy dinners at ELTON JOHN’s gaff have had a profound effect on McFLY.
They’ve ditched their trademark pop rock for a funkier R&B sound. And HARRY JUDD, TOM FLETCHER, DOUGIE POYNTER and DANNY JONES yesterday treated me to three tracks from their as-yet-untitled new album. They now sound more like PRINCE or MICHAEL JACKSON than McFly.
First single Party Girl is a slice of futuristic R&B. And two tracks written with TAIO CRUZ, Shine A Light and ballad I’ll Be Your Man, are decent too.
Axeman Danny told me: “Our influences have been people like BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN and THE BEATLES, but this time we took inspiration from artists we’d never tapped into.”
Recording sessions in Atlanta were masterminded by R&B super-producer DALLAS AUSTIN.
Tom said: “Dallas introduced us to Patron tequila. He almost killed us on a couple of occasions – it’s lethal. He also really likes strip joints, so we’d hammer the tequila and then head off to these clubs.
“One night we ended up going round Elton John’s house in Atlanta for dinner with Dallas.
“It was a great time.”

Sieht so aus als würden wir so langsam gar nicht mehr von den News Ruhe bekommen!
Laut einem Zeitschrift Büro in England (@wlpm) werden McFly im März 2011 auf Welt Tournee gehen. Dies soll anscheinend schon vom Management bestätigt worden sein. Also haltet euch Mal Termiene in März/April frei.
Außerdem ist bekannt geworden dass nachdem die erste Single “Party Girl” erscheint, die nächste “Shine a Light”sein wird. Die zweite Single wird im November veröffentlicht. Wann das Album veröffentlicht wird ist weiterhin unbekannt, jedoch wird es bis Weihnachten in die Läden kommen. Vielleicht bekommt der eine oder andere Fan es ja zu Weihnachten vom Christkind!
Mit der ersten Single, die am 4. September erscheint, wird auch die neue Website Super Cityonline gestellt.
Laut @danwooton werden McFly bis Weihnachten kleinere Konzerte in England geben!
Auf der Pressekonferenz wurde auch bekanntgegeben, dass McFly mit Universal Island Records zusammenarbeiten. Das heißt aber nicht, dass sie Super Records aufgegeen haben!

McFly Super City, ist die neue McFly Community und Website der Jungs. Unter anderem wurde auch das Myspace Layout verändert, also nichts wie hin und schaut es euch an. Ich habe euch auch mal alle Bilder die zu diesem Project gehören hochgeladen.
@TeenToday waren heute bei der Pressekonferenz der Jungs und haben live von Event getweetet. Lest euch die Tweets durch, falls ihr mehr Details wollt. @TeenToday werden später noch ein genaueres Update über die Geschehnisse auf ihrer Seite veröffentlichen.

Heute Abend um 7 Uhr(UK Zeit), also 8 Uhr in Deutschland, werden 30 Sekunden der neuen McFly Single “Party Girl” auf http://www.indemand.fm/ abgespielt. Ich weiß nicht ob man außerhalb der UK mithören kann, wenn nicht, dann macht euch nichts draus, die 30 Sekunden werden schon bald nach dem abspielen auf YouTube sein.
Außerdem ist bekannt geworden, dass McFly am Dienstag um 10 Uhr eine Pressekonferenz geben werden, wo sie der Presse ihr neues Album vorstellen. Man darf gespannt sein was rauskommt.
Wir werden euch sobald wir mehr erfahren haben bescheid sagen!
Nach sehr langem warten wissen wir mehr Infos über das neue Lied von McFly, wie es heißt und wann es erscheinen wird.
Laut der RadiostationIN:DEMAND heißt das neue Lied von McFly ‘Party Girl’. Auf ihrer Twitter Seite @alexandlucy haben sie getweetet:

Andere Quellen sagen, dass das Lied ‘Party Girl in a Uniform’ heißt. Welches jetzt der genaue Titel ist, ist noch unbekannt.
Das Lied wird innerhalb der nächsten 2 Wochen im Radio gespielt. Die offizielle Veröffentlichung findet dann voraussichtlich am 6. September 2010 statt.
