Wie ihr vielleicht mitbekommen habt sind McFly zurzeit in Brüssel um an ihrem Album zu arbeiten. Die Jungs sind in den ICP Studios untergekommen, also falls jemand in der Nähe wohnt, es lohnt sich hinzufahren.

Die Mädls von mission:McFly sind gestern aus Holland nach Brüssel runtergefahren, und für sie hat sich die Fahrt gelohnt. Hier könnt ihr ihre die Story lesen.

mission:MCFLY Roadtrip: McFly Hunt Down in Brussels!

We arrived in Brussels around 11 in the morning, and found the ICP studios pretty quickly. Luckily we could park our car close to the studio and went to wait with the others. There were about 6 girls waiting there already when we joined them.

First familiar face was Fletch. He came walking round the corner and said hi before he opened the gates and went inside. Fletch came out a couple more times before he asked us if they’d been out yet. A small conversation about “making sure I’ll send them out” occured and Fletch left again.

It wasn’t until 4 in the afternoon that the gates opened and instead of some random guys leaving or entering, it were Dougie and Harry, followed by cameraman David. They were incredibly nice and besides taking pictures with everyone and signing everyone’s gear, they actually stood around chatting with us for a while. They were both incredibly lovely. Dougie commented that he thought Pascale was English ’cause of her accent, and Caroline got compliments on the piece of art on her bag. After stepping away from everyone to have a chat with Harry (who Pascale joined after she found him and Caroline quitely talking) he started asking random questions about their gigs in The Netherlands. He thought that in Tilburg Dougie had been ill (but this was in Groningen) and he’d forgot the name of the venue in Amsterdam (Paradiso) which he loved. Since it was Pascale’s mum’s birthday, and she has a secret crush on Harry, we tried calling her but she didn’t answer. Explaining to Harry that she loves him, and that it’s actually a little scary, he burst out laughing. When Dougie wanted to go back inside, he took Harry with him (who almost forgot he places a cup of coffee behind him) and they went back inside. We asked if they could send Tom and Danny out soon, they said they’d ask but they were hard at work.

After they’d left, we got back to waiting. Fletch came walking past a couple of times, as well as David (who thought we wouldn’t see him if he walked through the main entrance and then entered a door right next to us, silly man). Fletch kept telling us that he’s send them out because he really wanted to make sure that they’d make time for us – and when everyone was asking Fletch about why it took so long, Pascale spotted Dougie (since the gates were open from when Fletch walked out) and called him over. That’s when everyone else turned their heads and bombared him with questions of when the others would come. Dougie came over for a quick chat, said that Tom and Danny were working really hard today and that Tom had just been given his dinner. He said it would take at least another half an hour for Tom to come out. We asked about Danny, but he said he’d “lost him”.

At 21:00, a car arrived and we soon found out that it was a massage lady who had been booked for two people. She was very friendly, said she’d take us with her in the trunk of her car if it wouldn’t get her in trouble. A couple of minutes later we saw her walk across the yard with something that looked like Harry’s shirt.

At 21:20 Fletch came walking out again and was quite surprised to see us all still there. He asked us if they STILL hadn’t been out and the begging started. But Fletch’s message was very clear, “Sorry, can’t send them out now, they’re working.” When he walked past Pascale she softly said, “No, they’re getting massages.” But Fletch insisted that they were still hard at work and that we’d have to wait a little longer.

At 22:30 it were just Caroline and Pascale left outside the gates. Everyone else had left and it started to get cold outside. When Fletch walked past us to go back inside he was full with pity, asked us if they’d still not been out. We told him no, and he complimented us for ‘hanging in there’, then explained that at these late hours the writing really gets going and how he can’t just put a stop to that. We understood completely (heck, we want this album, wouldn’t want to disturb them while recording it) and Fletch promised that after work they’d be out – he’d tell them that there were still two girls waiting for Tom and Danny.

At 23:30 the massage lady came driving back out through the gates. As she passed us she rolled down her window and with a grin on her face, she said: “I think you might get lucky!! Good luck guys!!” And she drove off.

At 23:50… we heard soft footsteps on the other side of the gate. Caroline had a peek and saw three people walking towards it. We kept silent, but so did they. A stiffled chuckle from Danny – we knew they were there. Very quietly, we heard the beeps of the code for opening the gates. The gates openend…. but there was no one there. “Hello?” but no reply. Pascale gave up, but Caroline swore she’d seen three people walking towards the gate!! When she had a closer look, she saw Danny peeking from behind the gate and exclaimed, “They’re hiding behind the gate! They’re here!! I knew it!” and Tom, Danny and David came laughing, out of their hiding.

Tom immediately apologised (after complimenting Caroline on her purple vans) for letting us wait for so long. We’d been waiting for over 12 hours at this point, they seemed pretty shocked but we bet they were just being nice. After taking pictures and having our stuff signed, we somehow expected them to leave… but they didn’t. They stood there for an actual conversation. When Pascale asked who got massaged, Tom said it were him and Harry. Danny’s cheeky grin appeared and he softly said, “Yea, Tom got a boner on the massage table.” and even softer, Tom said “No, I didn’t.” There was a short silence before we all started laughing and Danny explained how “girls don’t understand since they never get this, but that it’s really hard not to get a boner while being massaged, especially by a lady, and she’s touching you, and you’re like, nooo” Danny actually grabbed his penis at this point, “not yet, stay down!” and then commented again that “you wouldn’t understand, girls don’t have this problem.” which Pascale confirmed, saying “Yea, no, I don’t have that problem, no.” which made Danny burst out, “HAHA, DO YOU?!” before he burst out laughing himself. Tom mentioned how he and Caroline matched – his shirt with her shoes – a random conversation about all our shoes started. “Rocking the vans. Rocking the purple vans!” Danny said before Tom turned to his own shoes, quite said that his “favourite ones” were falling apart. Then Danny turned to Pascale’s flipflop/sandals, saying “I like those as well! Is that, like, one piece?” so after a closer look, he understood and we swiftly moved on to asking them about the new album. They seriously would not say more except: “Yea it’s gonna be awesome. It’s amazing… well, we hope you like it.” We said we’d hope that as well, but Danny reassured us, “Yeaahh… you’ll like it.” Then, some advice for the road from Tom, since we weren’t staying over in Brussels but actually had to drive home again, Danny and Tom said their goodbyes (Danny wanting to give us high 5, you know how that goes) and told us to drive safe and not to fall asleep behind the wheel, they went back inside. Walking back, David was filming them still and we heard both of them laugh as they spoke to the camera.

Butterflies in our stomach, excited over them being so nice, we noticed that they’d actually been out for a good 10 minutes!
